The aim of the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is to assist junior youth (ages 12-14) to take ownership for their spiritual and intellectual development, to develop a strong sense of purpose and the volition needed to make good decisions, and to engage in meaningful social action in their communities. — with Riaz Castillo, Leonora Jumao-as Nunal, Malcolm Kevin and Kevin Isgor-Locke.

The power of the Institute Process is evident in these children and junior youth from Pine Ridge, SD. These are the next leaders of the Pine Ridge community and surrounding communities where they have spirituality and knowledge in their hands and on their side❤🌱 Thank you to those of you who sent prayers of strength to all of us at the Pine Ridge, SD, junior youth camp. Continue to send your prayers to those lovely children, junior youth, youth, and elders of that blessed land and around the rest of the world for love and growth to become infused into our daily activities. A big thank you to Cindy Catches, Paul Catches, Carly Martin and others from the community who made it possible to come to their home and experience growth, learn about healing and growth, and enrich our knowledge of the culture❤ I am also thankful to the Creator for sending us so many blessings. Pine Ridge JY Camp 23 March 2015 Prayer, Singing, Study

This May 23rd was the 170th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Bab. On this day  first JY Youth Camp held in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The JY offered service by preparing the grounds for the gathering. Study of the book "Glimmerings of Hope was studied. Evening fellowship and stories around the campfire continued late. Youth came who had not attended before and studied the Minneapolis Youth Conference Materials. A sweat was held Photos have been gathered from Paul Catches, Carly Martin, Cindy Catches,Naomi One Feather, Karen Pulkrabeck, Max Defender, Emily and Cheyenne Defender. Held at the Catches Sundance Grounds.  There were 21 Junior Youth, 5 Youth, and 13 adults supporting, animating, singing and praying with them. The youth animators were: Cheyenne and Emily Defender, and Wyatt Morgano, with Paul Catches. Kevin Locke also taught how to make and play flutes. We'res still gathering responses from this wonderful weekend.
